Assistant Project Manager / Project Assistant

Location: Rochester Area

Work Environment: Onsite with occasional site visits

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager or Project Assistant to support construction projects from planning through completion. This role works closely with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project partners to define project scope and requirements
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, including pricing and agreements
• Manage permits, licenses, and required approvals
• Create, review, and track shop drawings
• Plan manpower, equipment, and materials throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop and maintain construction schedules to ensure timelines are met
• Order materials and equipment and monitor deliveries to prevent delays
• Support onsite crews and provide guidance as needed
• Track project progress and deliver regular status updates
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and address issues as they arise
• Assist with overall construction coordination and project oversight

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary range: up to $70,000
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
