Position Summary
The Buyer is responsible for executing and supporting procurement activities that align material availability with production requirements. This role includes tactical purchasing, supplier coordination, and cost-focused sourcing support, while working closely with stakeholders to maintain production flow and inventory balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchase orders for materials, components, and outsourced services supporting manufacturing operations
- Coordinate with suppliers to maintain pricing stability, delivery performance, and quality expectations
- Evaluate quotations and assist with comparative cost analysis and sourcing decisions
- Align purchasing actions with demand signals, production schedules, and inventory targets
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records within the company’s ERP platform
- Partner with engineering, planning, and operations teams to resolve material issues and shortages
- Participate in supplier reviews, performance discussions, and issue resolution activities as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with structured purchasing processes, supplier performance management, and material planning
- Comfortable working within ERP systems and standard business software tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly compensation range: $27.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience
- Eligibility for performance-based bonus incentives and paid overtime
- Hybrid work flexibility available after initial onboarding period (remote 1 day per week)
