Traveling Golf Construction Superintendent

Nationwide Travel (U.S.) | 💼 Full-Time | 💰 $110,000–$125,000+ Base + Per Diem + Bonuses

About the Opportunity:

We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Construction Superintendent with a background in earthwork, grading, or concrete to oversee large-scale golf course and sports turf construction projects across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing team that builds premier golf courses, football fields, baseball diamonds, and soccer complexes nationwide. If you enjoy seeing high-profile projects come to life from the ground up and don’t mind a travel-heavy lifestyle, this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead field operations on golf course and athletic field construction projects ranging from 6 months to over a year.
  • Manage daily site activities, including earthwork, grading, drainage, and turf installation.
  • Read and interpret civil site plans and survey layouts, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Supervise and coordinate crews of 10–30+ on earthmoving phases and collaborate closely with project managers.
  • Oversee subcontractors and in-house teams, ensuring quality, safety, and project specifications are met.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and reporting in Procore and Excel.
  • Communicate project updates, progress, and potential challenges during weekly team meetings.

Travel & Schedule

  • Travel to projects across the U.S. (excluding CA), from Florida to Arizona.
  • Most assignments last 6–12+ months, typically with up to two projects per year.
  • Travel rotation includes home leave every ~30 days (or you can bank time off for longer breaks).
  • During weather downtime (Jan–Feb), you’ll still receive full pay.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role in construction.
  • Strong ability to read civil drawings and manage site layouts.
  • Proven experience leading crews and coordinating site logistics.
  • Hands-on leadership style, not just oversight, but actively managing day-to-day operations.
  • Background in earthwork, grading, or concrete highly preferred but not required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) and OSHA certifications are a plus.

Ideal for professionals from concrete, earthwork, or golf course construction backgrounds or those looking to transition from golf course management into large-scale build management.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Competitive Pay: $110,000–$125,000+ base salary (higher for top performers).
  • Per Diem: $2,200–$2,700/month (lodging & travel support).
  • Bonuses: Project-based performance incentives + annual bonus ($10K–$15K).
  • Growth: Opportunities to transition between sports and golf projects or move into senior roles.
  • Culture: Team-oriented, family-focused, and built on integrity “do what you say you’ll do.”
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, company vehicle, PTO, and holiday pay.
