You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with estimators, sales professionals, and project managers on high-impact commercial and residential projects across the region.
About the Role
Seeking a Construction Project Support & CAD Designer to support project documentation, submittals, and construction plan reviews. This is a hands-on, office-based position ideal for someone who enjoys working with construction drawings and documentation and is eager to grow into roles such as estimating, project coordination, or sales.
You’ll contribute to a wide range of projects, from decorative fencing and commercial paving to tennis and pickleball courts and gain valuable exposure to all aspects of the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings and specifications to support project setup and planning.
- Create and organize submittals, shop drawings, and bid documentation using Bluebeam Revu and similar tools.
- Assist estimators and sales representatives with takeoffs, bid preparation, and client communication.
- Manage project paperwork, including permits, contracts, and other GC documentation.
- Draft and refine plans for recreational spaces, including tennis and pickleball courts.
- Maintain organized digital project folders and plan sets for multiple ongoing projects.
- Occasionally visit job sites (within 30–60 minutes) to gather information for drawings or support project teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Education or work experience in construction technology, drafting, civil engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience working with general contractors preferred (construction management grads considered).
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, or similar CAD/drawing software.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment and support multiple project stakeholders simultaneously.
