Nationwide Travel (U.S.) | Full-Time | $85,000–$150,000+ Base + Bonuses
About the Opportunity:
We’re looking for a driven and versatile Project Manager to oversee large-scale golf course and athletic field construction projects across the United States. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends project management, client communication, procurement, and on-site coordination. You’ll work on complex, high-visibility builds from championship-level golf courses to state-of-the-art football, baseball, and soccer fields with a company that’s been shaping the sports and turf construction industry for decades.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy travel, and are excited to see projects through from conception to completion, this opportunity is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Multiple Projects: Manage up to 8 active projects (with 12 in the pipeline), ranging from $1.5M sports complexes to $5M+ golf course builds.
- Be the Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for architects, engineers, and owners, ensuring communication flows smoothly and expectations are met.
- Superintendent Coordination: Oversee and support field superintendents, reviewing schedules and two-week lookaheads to keep projects on track.
- Procurement & Budget Management: Handle purchase orders, procurement logistics, and budget oversight from start to finish including AIA billing and forecasting.
- Documentation & Reporting: Utilize Procore, Excel, and Bluebeam/CAD to track project details, daily logs, and billing records.
- Field Travel: Conduct monthly site visits for golf projects and regular visits to sports projects. (Projects cannot be billed without site visits.)
- Project Lifecycle Ownership: Drive all phases of the project from pre-construction planning and scheduling to execution, monitoring, and closeout.
Travel & Schedule
- Extensive nationwide travel required projects span from Florida to Arizona and beyond.
- Typical schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, minimum 60 hours per week.
- Home leave approximately every 30 days for 3–4 days (or banked for longer breaks).
- Winter downtime (Jan–Feb) paid in full, even if work pauses due to weather.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of construction project management experience.
- Solid understanding of the full PM lifecycle pre-con, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
- Proficiency with Procore, Excel, CAD, and Bluebeam (or similar).
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage client and field relationships simultaneously.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and managing high-volume, fast-moving projects.
- Must be willing to travel frequently across the U.S.
Ideal candidates include junior PMs ready to step into larger, more complex builds, or seasoned professionals with turf, civil, or infrastructure project experience.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Competitive Compensation: $85,000–$150,000+ base salary (DOE) + annual performance bonus.
- Travel Perks: Company vehicle, paid expenses, company credit card, and weekly pay.
- Benefits Package: Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with up to 3% match.
- PTO: 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 3 years plus paid downtime between projects and over holidays.
