Landscape Architect

Location: Fort Mill, SC (Onsite)

$75,000 – $95,000 base salary + potential bonuses/commissions tied to design work

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a creative, detail-oriented Landscape Architect to join a growing outdoor living company specializing in high-end residential landscapes and hardscapes. This is a newly created position designed to support the sales and design team, with strong growth opportunities as the company continues to expand over the next few years.

Projects include luxury outdoor living spaces, ranging from custom landscapes and hardscapes to pools, outdoor kitchens, fire/water features, and more for homes typically valued at $750K+. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop landscape and hardscape concepts using tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Lumion, and HubSpot.
• Create detailed plans for outdoor living projects including pools, kitchens, patios, grading, drainage, and horticultural selections.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team (who handle onsite measurements and client-facing duties).
• Visit nurseries, suppliers, and vendors to source and recommend plants and materials.
• Ensure design work aligns with client expectations, company values, and regional standards.
• Support ~80 projects per year, ranging from small refreshes to large, multi-month builds.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• 5–7 years of residential landscaping or landscape architecture/design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD and design software (SketchUp required).
• Strong knowledge of the Charlotte/Carolina market, including plant varieties, horticulture, grading, and drainage.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to balance creativity with practical project execution.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Professional registration as a Landscape Architect/Designer.
• Familiarity with Buildertrend or HubSpot.
