📍 Location: Onsite in Buffalo to start, then hybrid (1–2 remote days/week)

💰 Compensation: $85K–$100K + bonus potential

Are you an experienced construction accountant looking to step into a high-impact role with growth potential? Join our client's fast-growing development and construction company as a Senior Accountant, with a clear path to a Controller position within 1–2 years. This is a TEAM of one role.

They act as both the owner and general contractor, so this role is uniquely positioned to touch both sides of their projects—making it ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Lead project and corporate accounting for ongoing and upcoming construction projects
• Handle AP/AR, invoice coding, AIA billings, lien releases, insurance tracking, and financial reporting
• Clean up legacy AP and help streamline internal systems and processes
• Format and deliver financial statements that are clear, accurate, and actionable
• Help drive the transition from Deltek ComputerEase to Sage 300
• Be the go-to for improving financial workflows as we scale

✅ What They're Looking For

• 5–8+ years in accounting, with direct construction project accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Deltek, Sage, etc.) and strong Excel skills
• Background in large-scale residential or commercial construction
• Someone motivated to grow into a Controller-level role
• Detail-oriented, systems-minded, and collaborative
