Our client, a growing and well-established engineering firm based in North Ann Arbor, Michigan, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead their financial operations. This is a full-time, onsite leadership role with direct impact on financial performance, internal controls, and operational strategy.

🔧 What You’ll Do:

• Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure GAAP compliance
• Oversee day-to-day accounting: payroll, job costing, A/R, A/P, reconciliations
• Lead the month-end close and maintain accurate financial records
• Present financial reports to company leadership
• Implement and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures
• Collaborate with the CEO to establish and monitor KPIs
• Coordinate tax filings with external CPA firms
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes

✅ What Our Client Is Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting leadership roles, preference for Controller titles
• Experience with overseeing financials for a company with $45M-$60M in revenue
• Strong background in job costing and project-based accounting
• Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Clear communicator with the ability to explain financials to non-financial staff
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
