Strategic Business Development Specialist – Logistics & Supply Chain

Are you ready to drive growth in a global logistics organization? We’re looking for a Strategic Business Development Specialist to support our parent company in pursuing, bidding, and winning major logistics contracts. This is not a retail sales role – it’s a strategic position working with a cross-functional team to secure high-value opportunities in the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead research, proposals, and bid preparation for logistics and supply chain contracts ranging from a few million to $10M+.
  • Partner with Business Development leadership, operations, finance, and project teams to create compelling bids and negotiate competitive agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and other manufacturers seeking third-party logistics solutions.
  • Manage multiple active bids simultaneously (2–12 at a time), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Use ERP/CRM tools (NetSuite) to track pipeline activity, customer interactions, and bid progress.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience in sales, account management, or business development within the automotive/Tier 1 manufacturing and/or 3PL industry.
  • Proven experience with bidding and contract processes.
  • Strong understanding of OEM & Tier 1 supplier operations and logistics workflows.
  • ERP/CRM system experience (NetSuite or similar).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
