Position Title: Part-Time Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Remote

Monthly Pay Rate: $600-$800/month

Role Overview

The QA Specialist will support weekly software releases by performing manual regression and feature testing. The role involves following structured test plans, identifying bugs, documenting issues, and working closely with the local QA and development teams. This position also supports backlog testing and may provide light first-tier customer support on weekends when needed. Clear communication, consistency, and strong attention to detail are essential.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 2–4 years of QA experience (preferably in SaaS, web, or mobile apps)
• Strong manual regression and exploratory testing skills
• Ability to write and follow test cases independently
• Experience with QA tools like Jira, TestRail, GitHub
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• Detail-oriented, consistent, and self-directed

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute weekly regression tests using documented checklists
• Perform exploratory feature testing and document findings
• Report bugs and issues clearly using tools like Jira or TestRail
• Collaborate daily with the local QA team on priorities and fixes
• Assist with backlog testing and usability feedback

• Proprietary in-house software
• Excel, Tablet, Clipboard, Terrier Hub
• Jira, TestRail, GitHub
• Requires your own laptop

Schedule & Training

• Hours: Part-time (20 hours/week)
• Flexibility: Work can be done at any time, as long as tasks are completed within a 2-day window
• Training: Conducted in Central Time Zone (CST); post-training work schedule is flexible
