About the Role:

As a Tax Manager, you’ll lead a team of tax professionals while overseeing complex tax preparation, planning, and compliance for individuals and businesses. You'll partner closely with leadership to improve processes, integrate acquired firms, and help build a high-performing tax department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Tax Associates and Senior Associates
• Review and sign federal and state tax returns, estimated payments, and annual filings
• Apply tax expertise to guide planning and identify potential tax issues
• Oversee IRS audit processes and special client projects
• Optimize workflows and contribute to firm-wide process improvements
• Integrate newly acquired tax firms and implement segmented client service models

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Active CPA or EA license
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on individual and business tax returns (S-Corp, Partnerships)
• 2+ years of people management experience
• Strong technical knowledge in complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate/Advanced Excel)
• Familiarity with QuickBooks (Certified ProAdvisor preferred), ADP Payroll, and UltraTax
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-first approach
