About the Role
A growing electrical services provider is seeking a skilled Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead crews on a variety of large-scale commercial projects throughout the Phoenix metro area. This position offers a balance of hands-on electrical work and supervisory leadership, with responsibilities scaling based on project size.
Projects range from major retail and grocery store build-outs to shopping centers and large-scale commercial renovations. The role offers stability, strong earnings potential, and opportunities to advance into senior-level leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
- Supervise and coordinate crews of 10–12 electricians and apprentices.
- Manage daily operations on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
- Plan and delegate work based on project size, more planning and oversight on larger projects, hands-on work on smaller projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and OSHA safety standards.
- Order, track, and manage materials, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
- Conduct training and mentorship for apprentices and journeymen.
- Utilize project management software such as Bluebeam and Procore.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
- OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and forklifts (certifications can be provided).
- Stable work history with demonstrated tenure in prior roles.
Preferred Experience
- Journeyman’s license or equivalent certification (additional pay offered).
- Experience with generators, lighting controls, or low-voltage systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- $42–$45/hr with regular overtime (8+ hours/week typical; some projects with extended overtime schedules).
- Flexible bonus program, 1.9% of total project profit.
- Quarterly profit-sharing bonus (percentage of annual wages; increases over time; some team members have earned $15K+).
