Job Title: Strategic Account Manager – Commercial Construction (General Contractors)

Location: Brighton, MI | Onsite | Full-Time

Commercial Construction / General Contracting

Base Salary: $110K–$120K + Commission (based on net profit)

About the Opportunity:

Looking for a seasoned Strategic Account Manager to strengthen and grow our relationships with General Contractor (GC) clients across the Michigan region. In this high-impact role, you’ll serve as the go-to liaison for key accounts, coordinating closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure timely, on-budget project execution while keeping client satisfaction front and center.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with deep roots in the construction industry.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for general contractor clients, building trust, securing repeat business, and ensuring satisfaction
  • Coordinate across departments (PMs, estimators, field teams) to deliver on client expectations and keep projects moving smoothly
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; communicate updates and resolve client issues quickly
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and scope alignment with new and existing clients
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to develop winning proposals that match client needs
  • Develop new business opportunities, reconnect with former clients and pursue new GC relationships across Michigan
  • Provide reporting to leadership on account status, risks, wins, and strategic opportunities
  • Stay informed on competitor activity and local market trends to inform strategic growth

Who You Are:

  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or client relations within the construction or general contracting space
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, including estimating, bidding, project management, and scheduling
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent client communication and attention to detail
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting construction drawings, specs, and contracts
  • A proactive networker who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building lasting business relationships
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management platforms

Bonus: A background with Michigan-based commercial GC subcontractors (e.g., Lee Industrial, Carmela)
