Senior Maintenance Manager – Luxury Multi-Family Portfolio

Location: Marina del Rey, CA (On-Site, with Travel Across Greater Los Angeles – Mileage Reimbursed)

Company Overview:

A well-established and growing real estate development and property management firm with a strong presence across Greater Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager to lead and modernize its maintenance operations. The company manages a portfolio of over 70 luxury apartment communities, including properties in Pasadena, Glendale, Hollywood, Marina del Rey, and the Westside.

Known for its high standards and close-knit team culture, this firm is entering a new phase of growth and modernization—making this a pivotal leadership role.

Position Overview:

The Senior Maintenance Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across the full portfolio, guiding internal teams, implementing tech-forward systems, and ensuring timely, high-quality maintenance service. This is a highly visible role for a proactive, systems-oriented leader with strong building systems knowledge and polished communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee maintenance operations across a portfolio of 70+ multi-family properties
  • Manage, support, and mentor an internal team including a Maintenance Supervisor, senior technicians, and admin staff
  • Implement and manage digital reporting systems using Yardi and Excel, transitioning from legacy manual processes
  • Prioritize and resolve urgent maintenance issues to ensure tenant satisfaction and regulatory compliance
  • Analyze maintenance data, generate reports, and identify trends and opportunities for operational improvements
  • Conduct routine site inspections to uphold company-wide standards for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and coordinate cost-effective service across all locations
  • Reinforce consistency, professionalism, and accountability across all maintenance functions
  • Travel between sites as needed (mileage reimbursed)

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in multi-family, luxury residential, or commercial real estate
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
  • Advanced proficiency with Yardi and Excel — ability to build and manage digital reporting systems
  • Prior experience leading internal maintenance or facilities teams
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to earn trust within a long-standing team
  • Proven sense of urgency, follow-through, and time management
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits across Los Angeles

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Base Salary: Up to $115,000, depending on experience
  • Mileage: Reimbursed for inter-property travel
