Position Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: North Indy, Indiana (Local candidates or those seeking relocation preferred)

Salary: Up to $180,000 DOE

About the Role:

Seeking a high-caliber Senior Project Manager to step into a pivotal leadership role within a well-established construction organization. This is a rare opportunity to be groomed for long-term leadership, with a defined transition plan to take full ownership of a large, multi-project team. Initially, you’ll manage a flagship project ($20M+), while being mentored by a seasoned leader to eventually oversee a team of 60+, including 3 Project Managers and 2 Project Engineers reporting directly into you.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead all phases of a major construction project ($20M+) from preconstruction through closeout
• Train alongside the current department head to learn internal systems, standards, and leadership structure
• Gradually assume greater departmental oversight, ultimately managing a 60-person team across multiple active projects
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project success and professional growth
• Lead contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure favorable terms and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with budgets, timelines, safety standards, and client expectations
• Collaborate with executives on strategic planning and forecasting for future project pipelines

Qualifications:

• 10–12 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management
• Proven success managing complex, large-scale projects valued at $20M or more
• Strong background in contract negotiation, cost control, and schedule management
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Experience overseeing multiple teams or direct reports is highly preferred
• Must be based in Indiana or open to relocation (local knowledge preferred)
• Residential-only PMs will not be considered for this role
