About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and process-oriented accountant to join our Finance and Accounting Team! As Plume’s Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our Finance and Accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a high-level of attention to detail, and a strong desire to improve processes. This will be an excellent opportunity for a candidate to learn and grow in their career as the company continues to scale up. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly close process with in-month and end-of-month activities

  • Manage input of journal entries

  • Perform monthly revenue reconciliation and posting

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts

  • Perform all monthly bank reconciliations

  • Maintain weekly input of bank transactions

  • Perform daily Ramp and BILL entries

  • Assist with annual tax preparation and documentation requests

  • Assist with annual audit process

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement

  • Contribute to developing and implementing best practice accounting procedures

  • Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Finance

Must Have:

  • A strong understanding and appreciation of the trans experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

  • 5 years of progressive accounting or audit experience

  • An understanding of the monthly close processes

  • Comfort with GL reconciliations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets

  • Possess attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Experience with Ramp and/or BILL

  • Ability to work in a fully remote environment

  • Desire to learn and grow in the role

Nice-To-Have:

  • Experience with NetSuite

  • Multi-entity environment experience
