Strategy & Programs Manager
PhysicsX
About us
As our organisation rapidly grows, we need sharp Program Managers to help translate strategic ambition into outcomes, enable functional teams to scale gracefully, and ensure our change agenda lands effectively throughout the company.
The Role
As a Program Manager, you will be a key driver of organisational effectiveness. You will proactively identify and address critical process gaps, owning the delivery of high-impact initiatives from planning through to completion — unlocking team potential and preparing us for scalable, sustainable growth.
You will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership and functional leads across our different functions and teams, from Forward Deployed Engineering, to People, to Product, translating high-level business needs into tangible, impactful programs and ensuring they are executed to a high standard. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic individual passionate about building, optimising, and empowering teams.
As Program Manager you will:
- Lead Outcome-Driven Programs: Partner with functional leaders to own and execute time-boxed programs that directly amplify team performance and tie back to company-wide goals — ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
- Translate Strategy to Action: Break down broad strategic objectives into measurable steps and key metrics, then drive them through to completion. You’ll run milestone-based plans, manage risks and issues, and lead status syncs to ensure clear execution.
- Solve Pain Points: Proactively surface company and team-level challenges, then translate those insights into structured programs that drive our continual improvement.
- Facilitate Cross-Functional Alignment: Foster collaboration across Delivery, Product, Research, and Operations to remove blockers and drive alignment as we scale.
- Communicate Impact: Build trust and momentum by clearly communicating wins through internal briefs, retrospective reports, and program status updates.
- Measure Success: Close the loop on every program by collecting feedback, quantifying ROI, and providing leaders with the bandwidth and leverage they need to achieve their ambitious goals.
Example programs of work include:*
- Scaling our team for the future — e.g. partnering with Recruitment to redesign the hiring funnel, cut average time-to-hire by weeks, and secure the talent needed to hit aggressive growth targets.
- Supercharging productivity with AI — e.g. rolling out AI tooling to automate document prep, meeting summaries, and reporting, saving teams hours each week and enabling scale without proportional headcount growth.
- Exploring new frontiers — e.g. working with commercial leaders to assess entirely new markets for growth, building the business case and action plan for entry.
- Shaping our story and ambition — e.g. preparing investor reports that weave performance data with a compelling growth narrative, ensuring our progress and vision land with maximum impact.
*Through focused feedback cycles and retrospectives, every quarter surfaces new programs of work that are critical for us to scale gracefully and achieve our mission.

- Strong communication skills: An engaging and clear communicator, comfortable leading sync-ups, writing concise updates, and delivering impactful presentations.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving alignment without direct authority and adapting your message for various audiences, from team members to executive leadership.
