We are seeking an SDET with strong analytical skills, who excels at finding bugs and working in the agile environment to help continuously improve our software development and testing processes. The ideal candidate will have worked in a b2c internet or media company which is used to frequent releases per sprint. Experience with JIRA or a similar ticketing system before and is used to document test cases based on new or existing use cases. The ability to transform test cases into automated tests capable of running in multiple browsers is desired.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop testing procedures and frameworks to help automate our software development process
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand project objectives, gather and analyze automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable test automation solutions
- Build and maintain test suite pipelines in a CI/CD environment
- Work on continuous improvement of testing approach
- Perform maintenance/upkeep of existing frameworks
Skills

- Javascript, Mocha, Chai
- Node.js

- Experience with Linux
- Agile Methodologies
The Must Haves
- 2-3 years of relevant Test Automation experience
- Experience implementing test automation frameworks
- Ability to take Acceptance Criteria and turn them into functioning Automated Tests
- A strong desire to break things using negative testing scenarios
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowing when to automate / not to automate something
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
Experience or knowledge of any of the following are considered nice to have.
- Load & Performance testing
- Cypress / Playwright
- Working knowledge of Docker
- Scripting languages: PHP, Python, Perl, bash etc
- Working with React

**Candidates must either work on the East Coast of the US or be willing to work East Coast hours.**
