R1 is the leading provider of technology-driven solutions that transform the patient experience and financial performance of hospitals, health systems, and medical groups. Within R1, the R37 AI Innovation Lab is bringing the agentic revenue cycle to life, by pairing real-world operator experience with enterprise-grade AI and automation. We help providers reduce costs, increase revenue and streamline their billing operations. We are the one company that combines the deep expertise of a global workforce of revenue cycle professionals with the industry’s most advanced technology platform, encompassing sophisticated analytics, AI, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration.

As a Principal Product Manager on the R37 Innovation team, you will support both our internal stakeholders and external clients as they navigate the complex healthcare revenue cycle, delivering impactful agentic RCM capabilities at massive scale. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of the tremendous amount of data and information available within R1 to deliver leading edge product solutions across the revenue cycle. Every day you will communicate with business partners and clients to understand their use cases and pain points, define and prioritize requirements with our data, AI and software engineering teams, coordinate dependencies and timelines with other PMs and colleagues across the company, and help define the vision of our complete product roadmap. To thrive in this role, you should be fluent in the technical details of healthcare applications such as EHRs and/or Practice Management systems, while also being able to understand and clearly explain why they matter and how they fit into our strategic business initiatives to a non-technical audience. You will need to be comfortable managing a broad scope of stakeholders and dependencies, balancing the demands of supporting well-established business lines with the need to stay current with the latest capabilities offered by our technology vendors and partners in a rapidly moving domain. You will need to be a thought leader excited to push the boundaries of what’s possible, helping define the vision for our products while also leading by example and getting into the weeds when needed.

Here’s what you will experience working as a Principal Product Manager:

Lead the AI-native product development lifecycles from ideation to launch, ensuring the timely delivery of new features and providing clear communication to stakeholders around progress and updates

Prioritize initiatives, features, and stories by balancing stakeholder interests, user needs, technology direction, and product and business strategy.

Synthesize a variety of inputs into building, maintaining, and promoting our product roadmap.

Mitigate blockers and make tough trade-off decisions between scope and schedule, keeping our team of collaborators focused on concrete milestones and deliverables.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the industry.

Interface with engineering, data and AI teams to articulate requirements, product vision, and business priorities utilizing Agile practices.

Required Skills:

Solid product management experience, supporting AI-native or AI-enabled products in the healthcare and/or revenue cycle management domain

Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks

Databricks Genie and/or Snowflake Cortex a plus

Proficiency with Gen AI application and agent architecture, including

- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

- Prompt design / prompt iteration loops

- Agent orchestration frameworks

- Evaluation of LLM outputs (accuracy, hallucination, consistency)

- Cost/performance tradeoffs (tokens, latency)

The healthcare system is always evolving — and it’s up to us to use our shared expertise to find new solutions that can keep up. On our growing team you’ll find the opportunity to constantly learn, collaborate across groups, and explore new paths for your career.

Our associates are given the chance to contribute, think boldly, and create meaningful work that makes a difference in the communities we serve around the world. We go beyond expectations in everything we do. Not only does that drive customer success and improve patient care, but that same enthusiasm is applied to giving back to the community and taking care of our team — including offering a competitive benefits package.
