About Us

Our mission is to make healthcare reimbursement transparent and fair (/phare), so providers can spend more time caring for patients and less time haggling over costs. We specifically focus on the most complex AI challenges that require novel R&D, with a team that blends AI researchers and engineers with clinicians, and payment experts. Backed by top healthcare investors including General Catalyst, we’re scaling quickly - join us!

The Role

This is a senior SWE role within a tight-knit, mission-driven team that owns the data pipes and AI engine behind our product. Expect to:

  • Stream hospital data at scale - build and run pipelines that pull EHR and claims data (FHIR/HL7) into our platform in real time.
  • Strengthen the ML stack - own feature stores, model serving, and monitoring so clinicians always get fast, trustworthy results.
  • Shape our cloud environment - design and operate our AWS environment. Proficient using infrastructure as code, serverless and data storage solutions
  • Automate for reliability - keep deployments repeatable and secure, with clear metrics, sensible alerts, and HIPAA-grade safeguards.
  • Grow with us - mentor peers and influence architecture today, with a clear path to steering broader engineering strategy as we scale.

Who we're looking for

  • 4+ years designing and shipping production systems in Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Deep experience with high-throughput ETL and schema design.
  • Mastery of AWS/GCP, Kubernetes/ECS, Terraform (or similar technologies) and CI/CD.
  • Proven security mindset (HIPAA, SOC2, or equivalent).
  • Track record of leading architecture and mentoring engineers.

Bonus Points

  • Hands-on with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7).
  • Real-world MLOps or model-monitoring experience.
  • Early-stage startup scars or triumphs.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: Top-of-market salary plus equity.
  • Flexible PTO: Generous vacation policy and remote-friendly culture.
  • Team culture: Regular team-building events, a collaborative atmosphere, and mission-driven work.
