Who we are:

Percepta’s mission is to transform critical institutions with applied AI. We care that industries that power the world (e.g. healthcare, manufacturing, energy) benefit from frontier technology.

To make that happen, we embed with industry-leading customers to drive AI transformation. We bring together:

  • Forward-deployed expertise in engineering, product, and research

  • Mosaic, our in-house toolkit for rapidly deploying agentic workflows

  • Strategic partnerships with Anthropic, McKinsey, AWS, companies within the General Catalyst portfolio, and more

Our team is a quickly growing group of Applied AI Engineers, Embedded Product Managers and Researchers motivated by diffusing the promise of AI into improvements we can feel in our day to day lives.

Percepta is a direct partnership with General Catalyst, a global transformation and investment company.

About the role:

We’re hiring a Strategy & Operations Lead to drive operational excellence across a number of strategic priorities at Percepta. You will be our first hire in this role, reporting to our CEO.

As a Strategy & Operations Lead, you will have the opportunity to contribute to all of the following and much more:

  • Enable our GTM motion: Support pipeline tracking across the hundreds of customers & potential customers, developing sales assets and marketing content that tells the right story.

  • Manage our partnerships: Support our partnerships with Anthropic, AWS, McKinsey, Nvidia, and more, and engage with smaller applied AI startups from within the General Catalyst portfolio and beyond.

  • Develop financial & value capture methodology: Embed within our customer-facing teams to support ROI capture, develop and test pricing frameworks, and inform FP&A and strategic finance across the board for Percepta.

  • Translate strategy into action: Partner with our leadership team to ensure company strategy is translated into day-to-day priorities for the team.

  • Help drive our internal core operations: Support our own internal operations, including recruiting, onboarding, legal, budgeting, knowledge capture, people operations, and more.

We recognize the above is more than can reasonably be done by one person. We craft scope for each of our hires thoughtfully based on their interest and expertise.

What we’re looking for:

  • AI-nativeness: You're excited about the potential for AI to transform businesses. You care about supporting a team that is playing a hands-on role in bringing frontier technology into critical institutions.

  • Ambiguity shaping: You thrive when given a nebulous, complex problem. You are always able to take a stab and move things forward.

  • Extreme ownership and accountability: You’re willing to jump in and love being the one on the hook. You aren’t going to wait to be pointed at a task—you’re going to identify what you think we should do next, and then do it. If you say you’re going to do something, you get it done.

  • Generative and collaborative: You love constantly jamming on new “what if” ideas with teammates and partners, and no idea is sacred to you.

  • Outcome over process: You love winning and you hate when anything gets in the way of it. You will invest in process when it’s the right way to scale, but you will never let perfect be the enemy of good.

  • Speed and hustle: You care about getting the job done, and won’t hesitate to cut corners or do the hard thing if it means the job can get done. You’ll never let things get put off for months.

Bonus if you have:

  • 4-8 years of experience working in highly rigorous environments (finance, consulting, engineering, product, GTM) and a track record of demonstrated excellence

  • Extremely strong, professional, and crisp verbal and written communications

  • Strong finance fundamentals (e.g. ability to support FP&A, read a balance sheet, help with due diligence materials, etc.)

  • Hands-on engineering or product experience and an interest in transitioning to a more strategy or operations focused role

  • Experience with standing up and managing operational systems (e.g. ATS, CRM)

  • Prior startup or founder experience, balancing craft, ownership, and speed.

We’re working against an incredibly ambitious mission. It won’t be easy, but it will likely be the most fulfilling work of your career. If this excites you, let's chat, even if you don't meet all of the qualifications above.
