Your team

Payrails is a highly dynamic workplace, with our Payment Strategy team being at the front of our clients. In this team, you will:

  • Deliver tailor-made and innovative solutions to complex and demanding merchant requirements, pain points, and use cases.

Our team offers you the opportunity to work alongside a group of highly ambitious and knowledgeable people and the freedom to make your own impact. You, as our Associate Technical Account Manager in Payments Strategy, will be driving our customer experience to ensure success.

How you will make an impact

  • You will lead every merchant integration from a technical and operational perspective, serving as the primary point of contact for merchants after go-live

  • You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical inquiries related to our APIs, SDKs, and payment orchestration platform

  • You will analyse and optimise payment performance by identifying opportunities to improve authorisation rates, routing logic, and cost efficiency

  • You will design tailored technical solutions by performing in-depth customer discovery, leading executive briefings, demos, and technical readouts

  • You will collaborate cross-functionally with Go-To-Market, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance merchant onboarding and post-launch experiences

  • You will proactively identify opportunities to drive product adoption, process improvement, and long-term merchant success

  • You will travel to customer sites as needed to oversee technical deployments and strengthen merchant relationships

What we are looking for

  • You have 2-3 years of experience in system implementation, API/SDK integrations, and providing technical guidance during integration processes

  • You understand the software development lifecycle and complex API architectures

  • You can diagnose and resolve integration challenges, communicating solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

  • You consistently deliver customer value and measurable outcomes aligned with merchant goals

  • You possess strong knowledge of the enterprise technology landscape

  • You communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally

  • You have executive presence and can build credibility and trusted relationships at all levels

  • You can lead workshops, demos, and strategic discussions with confidence and clarity

  • You are organised and proactive, effectively managing multiple priorities and customer engagements

  • Experience within the payments ecosystem is a huge plus
