The Role
Overjet is hiring a Head of Analytics to define and lead our company-wide analytics strategy and execution. You’ll work cross-functionally with executives, product leaders, engineers, go-to-market leadership, and customers to transform data into a strategic asset for internal and external stakeholders. Your role will unlock the potential of data to improve oral health for patients and also support internal teams to be data-driven operators. We’re looking for someone who enjoys managing data analysts and engineers but still regularly jumps deep into analyses, data, and problems themselves to help drive impact.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the analytics vision and strategy to support data product, internal analytics and infrastructure, and customer success.
- Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing analytics team spanning data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers.
- Implement scalable processes and tools to improve productivity, collaboration, and quality within the Data & Analytics function.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance to establish trust in analytics outputs across the organization.
- Deliver dashboards, metrics, and analyses that empower stakeholders to make timely, informed decisions.
- Build productive relationships with senior level analytics and business stakeholders at major customers to ensure their organization’s success using Overjet’s products
- Architect and lead the implementation of large-scale data infrastructure that enables analytics and data science in a cloud environment.
- Develop best practices for data creation, collection, storage, processing, access and value creation that impact company-wide data strategy across Overjet’s customer footprint.
- Partner with software engineering teams and data stewards to model foundational schemas, and establish data contracts to improve production-level data quality at every stage of the data lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with substantial training in analytics, statistics, and data infrastructure
- 12+ years of relevant experience with progressing levels of responsibility.
- 5+ years of experience in a team leadership role.
- Expert level knowledge of databases, data warehousing, data formats, data modeling, and data standards.
- Expert knowledge of modern data tooling, data architecture, and data engineering concepts.
- Experience managing data compliance and regulatory requirements; familiarity with requirements in the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex data strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
