The Role

The Sr. Director of FP&A role is a key position within the Overjet ecosystem. This position will provide support to our key business stakeholders for financial planning and analysis. Additionally, the role will work with cross functional teams to lead various projects related to budget planning, forecasting, and financial operations. We’re excited to add someone to the team who has worked in high-growth software environments in the past and is able to execute independently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and scale the finance function (team, system implementation, and process development) through periods of rapid growth
  • Own all financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, risk management, and internal reporting to leadership and the Company’s Board of Directors
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders on company-wide strategic planning processes
  • Evaluate financial and operational results to better understand company performance and identify opportunities in both revenue growth and expense management
  • Benchmark financials, set realistic yet ambitious targets based on a deep understanding of the business, and drive the company toward needle-moving improvements in financial performance
  • Encourage out-of-the-box thinking by challenging assumptions held across the company and identifying opportunities for faster, more effective execution aligned with Overjet’s goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years in a financial leadership position at a high growth software firm, investment banking, private equity, or similar training
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills utilizing best practices around data management and dimensions
  • Skilled with revenue, margin, and expense forecasting and modeling ideally with high growth software companies
  • An expert in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, staying current on new functions and ensuring adoption
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights in high impact presentations
  • Strong business judgment including an ability to execute independently and cross-team collaborate with a remote team
  • Experience in designing business systems around operational and financial planning

We have a unique hybrid workplace at Overjet — which combines the teamwork of meeting in person, with the flexibility of working from anywhere.

Many of our positions are based in San Mateo, New York City, Boston, and Lahore. The Jetsetters who live in these “geo-hubs” come to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while having the option to work from home the rest of the week.
