The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our web team. This role is ideal for someone with solid full stack experience — regardless of specific framework background — as long as they’re confident working with ReactJS, Django, and PostgreSQL.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Overjet Voice, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving our AI-powered dental platform. You’ll work across the stack — helping deliver fast, secure, and scalable features, while improving developer experience and infrastructure along the way.

This role requires someone who can contribute both frontend and backend, collaborate well with cross-functional teams, and write clean, maintainable code that balances speed and quality. We’re not looking for experts in a specific framework — we’re looking for engineers who are adaptable, resourceful, and care about building things right.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack features using React, Django, and PostgreSQL

• Collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver features that are thoughtful, performant, and easy to use

• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code for both frontend and backend

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, usability issues, and technical debt

• Help maintain and evolve our APIs, data models, and client-side architecture

• Ensure code aligns with best practices for security, accessibility, and responsiveness

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience as a full stack engineer or similar role

• Comfortable working with (or transitioning into) ReactJS, Django, and PostgreSQL

• Strong understanding of API design, database performance, and component-based UI development

• Clear and concise communication in English, especially in a remote team setup

• Nice to have:

  • Background in healthcare, dental, or other regulated industries

  • Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, or other data privacy and compliance standards

  • Experience with authentication flows, user permission management, or third-party integrations

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, performance optimization, or data-heavy UI

  • Exposure to AI-based or data-driven products

  • Experience mentoring or leading other engineers

Our Hybrid Workplace

We have a unique hybrid workplace at Overjet — which combines the teamwork of meeting in person, with the flexibility of working from anywhere.

Many of our positions are based in San Mateo, New York City, Boston, Salt Lake City, and Lahore. The Jetsetters who live in these “geo-hubs” come to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while having the option to work from home the rest of the week.
