The Role

We’re looking for a developer who enjoys solving interesting engineering problems and building polished desktop software.

Our product is a Windows application built with .NET MAUI that integrates with other applications, processes real-time data via WebSockets, and focuses heavily on delivering a smooth, responsive user experience.

This is not a massive codebase, but it involves non-trivial technical challenges around integrations, automation, and performance. We’re open to mid-level to senior developers who are comfortable working in a product-focused environment and taking ownership of meaningful technical work.

Responsibilities

• Building and improving features in a Windows MAUI application

• Integrating with external applications using UI automation and system-level interactions

• Implementing and maintaining real-time communication via WebSockets

  • Ensuring the app feels fast, stable, and intuitive for users

  • Debugging and solving complex edge cases

Qualifications

• You are strong in C# and .NET

• You have experience with desktop development (MAUI, WPF, WinUI, or similar)

• You're comfortable with async programming and concurrency

• You enjoy solving tricky technical problems

  • You care about code quality, reliability, and user experience

  • You can work independently and contribute ideas, not just code

• Bonus points for experience with

  • .NET MAUI

  • Windows desktop development

  • UI Automation / accessibility APIs

  • WebSockets or real-time systems

  • Integrating or orchestrating multiple applications

  • Debugging complex runtime issues

Our Hybrid Workplace

We have a unique hybrid workplace at Overjet — which combines the teamwork of meeting in person, with the flexibility of working from anywhere.

Many of our positions are based in San Mateo, New York City, Boston, Salt Lake City, and Lahore. The Jetsetters who live in these “geo-hubs” come to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while having the option to work from home the rest of the week.
