The Role
The Special Markets Account Executive will own and scale Overjet’s go-to-market strategy for Dental Schools and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). This role is both strategic and revenue-driven, responsible for defining the approach, building executive-level relationships, navigating complex buying environments, and closing new business.
This leader will act as Overjet’s subject-matter expert for these markets—understanding their unique funding models, governance structures, compliance requirements, and stakeholder dynamics—while translating that knowledge into repeatable revenue.
Responsibilities
Define and execute Overjet’s special markets strategy for dental schools and FQHCs, including segmentation, positioning, pricing considerations, and packaging.
Develop a deep understanding of academic, public health, and grant-funded buying environments, including procurement cycles, approvals, and budget sources.
Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to influence roadmap priorities and ensure market fit.
Own a revenue target for special markets and deliver consistent, predictable results.
Build and manage a qualified pipeline from first conversation through close.
Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving deans, clinical leadership, procurement, IT, compliance, and executive sponsors.
Structure and close enterprise-level agreements, pilots, and long-term partnerships.
Establish Overjet as a trusted partner within dental education and public health ecosystems.
Represent Overjet at industry events, conferences, and strategic forums.
Serve as the internal voice of dental schools and FQHCs at Overjet, collaborating closely with Customer Success to ensure successful implementations, renewals, and expansions.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, partnerships, or business development.
Experience selling into dental schools, FQHCs, academic medical centers, or public health systems.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders.
Experience managing long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision-makers.
Familiarity with dental workflows, clinical education, or value-based care environments.
Experience navigating grants, public funding, or non-traditional budget sources.
