About the Job

We are hiring a Kitting Technician I to support GMP manufacturing operations by preparing and assembling production kits required for cell therapy manufacturing. This role ensures that all materials required for production are accurately staged, labeled, and assembled in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and internal quality standards.

You will work closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure materials are available, organized, and ready for manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys hands-on work in a regulated manufacturing environment while supporting life-saving therapies. This position will report directly to the Manager, Supply Chain.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments including Production, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with material handling
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • This position is based in our Indianapolis office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in GMP manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated production environments
  • Experience with inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management
  • Familiarity with batch records, material traceability, or quality documentation.
  • Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble GMP production kits according to approved SOPs, batch records, and work instructions
  • Ensure all materials in kits are correct, within expiration, and meet quality and traceability requirements
  • Accurately label and stage kits to support production schedules and prevent delays
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with GMP and internal quality systems
  • Coordinate with Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure required materials are available and ready for production
  • Identify and communicate potential material shortages, discrepancies, or risks to production timelines
  • Maintain organized kitting areas and ensure proper storage and inventory control of materials
  • Support cycle counts, inventory checks, and material reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure kitting activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Assist in continuous improvement of kitting processes to improve efficiency, organization, and reliability

In your first six months some projects you’ll work on include:

  • Partner with Production and Supply Chain teams to define standard kit configurations for production processes
  • Establish and organize kitting workstations and workflows to support efficient GMP operations
  • Support implementation of standardized labeling and staging processes for production materials
  • Assist in developing inventory tracking practices for materials used in production kits
