About the role
The Sr. Manager, Strategic Initiatives within Risk Adjustment Strategy and Optimization will be responsible for driving the strategy and special project initiatives on behalf of the Risk Adjustment Team. Working closely with Risk Adjustment leadership, this position would be responsible for continuously updating senior leadership on financial, strategic, and executional alignment to meet our Oscar objectives for Risk Adjustment success. In this role you will drive project coordination and management from creation to completion, solve problems and escalate issues where appropriate, and work across disparate initiatives and stakeholders at the same time. You will report to the Sr. Director, Risk Adjustment Strategy and Solutions

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $131,200 - $172,200 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $118,080 - $154,980 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own end-to-end management and scoping of new and existing Risk Adjustment strategic initiatives including project management, prioritization of work streams based on expected outcomes, performing valuations and defining financial and performance metrics, and senior leadership buy-in and approvals.
- Develop, in conjunction with leadership, a team dedicated to further the value of Oscar's Risk Adjustment department in key areas of improvement such as Analytics, Product/Engineering, P&L relationships, among other potential areas of opportunity yet to be defined
- Identify, define and drive execution of revenue and coding gap closure opportunities with Oscar cross-functional business units such as Finance, Profit & Loss Ownership, Data Science, and other Oscar business units.
- Owns the end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations/projects, including project plan creation, stakeholder engagement/management, and on-time completion
- Respond to and prepare time-sensitive data requests, analyses and presentation materials to senior leadership
- Development and growth of direct reports, ensuring that colleagues are supported in professional development
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Managed Care Health Insurance and/or Managed Care Consulting
- 5+ years of experience in program management
- 4+ years of leadership experience
- 4+ years of Risk Adjustment strategic experience
- 2+ years experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in programs
Bonus Points
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting)
- SQL, Excel, Looker, or any data-analytic experience.

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
