Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Network Strategy Analyst to join our National P&L team.

About the role

The Network Strategy team strives to improve Oscar's system, facility, and provider agreements, infrastructure, and relationships to ensure that our strategic vision, operational standards, partner quality goals, and financial interests are reflected in our network partnerships.

You will design, optimize, and implement processes and improvements into Oscar's Single Case Agreement & Network Adequacy operations platform. You will design and conduct ad-hoc and new-hire training in alignment with department policy. The role requires your close collaboration with cross-functional partners on day-to-day and escalated issue resolution. You will develop an understanding of Oscar's SCA & network strategy infrastructure, underlying logic, and data models; and will understand and translate requirements/rules from partners. You will ensure efficient production levels by monitoring reports, assigning resources as required.

You will report to the Director, Network Optimization. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

The potential base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $76,000-$99,750. The potential base pay for this role in all other locations is: $68,400-$89,775. You are also eligible for employee benefits, and participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and steward provider network and contract datasets in support of compliant and performant business operations
  • Independently reviews and approves single case agreements to ensure financial discipline and alignment with department and company policy
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and achieve performance targets
  • Use data to guide our decisions and drive company and department strategy
  • Identify risks; respond to and resolves issues/errors/escalations through investigation to produce insights for short/medium/long-term technology-enabled solutions
  • Be the point of escalation for junior members of the team and support the market lead in shepherding the team towards execution and results
  • Coordinate projects and processes to help ensure key milestones and service levels are met
  • Work with leadership to strategize, implement, and manage creative arrangements aimed at lowering overall cost-of-care or improving healthcare outcomes
  • Understand the out of network, regulatory, network adequacy ecosystem, technology and data models and its current strengths, weaknesses, and gaps.
  • Partner with other teams such as Strategy, Finance, Analytics, Value Capture, Care Management, Government Affairs, Product, Concierge, and other regional teams to achieve results for essential Oscar programs

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of professional experience in payer or provider healthcare contracting, provider network management, healthcare operations, or a related field
  • Experience running analyses on markets or products, and working cross-functionally to improve opportunities and increase growth & profitability
  • Experience in process improvement and workflow design
  • Experience in constructing presentation materials aimed at Senior Leadership
  • Willingness to 'dive-in' and support multiple in-flight activities within a growing organization

  • Experience in healthcare, specifically claims processing or eligibility & billing

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
