WHAT IS THIS ROLE'S MISSION

As a Product Manager on the Services team at Origin, your mission will be owning the strategy and development for all investing and banking products at Origin. Investing at Origin is a recent addition to our product suite and a highly visible part of our future growth story. You will continue to build our no-fee brokerage into a world-class investment product and lead the strategy and launch of future products like retirement and savings. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the experiences we offer drive delight for users and outcomes for the business.

Candidates should be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and be excited about joining our team in our downtown San Francisco office 2-3 times per week, conveniently located close to multiple BART stations and the Salesforce Transit Center.

What you'll do

• Lead the strategy, development, and growth of Origin's investing and banking products.
• Own the investment user journey — from onboarding, KYC, engagement, and retention to make Origin's investment and banking products a seamless user experience.
• Partner daily with design, engineering, marketing, and the other PMs on feature development.
• Measure and track the impact of initiatives you build and adjust your strategic roadmap as needed.
• Collaborate both internally with cross-functional teams and externally with product partners supporting our Tax and Investments offerings to bring innovative product initiatives to life.
• Design, implement, and analyze experiments to test and validate business hypotheses.
• Advocate for what you believe will drive the greatest business value and measure the impact on business metrics like growth, retention, and CSAT.
• Spearhead research for new opportunities within your product area(s) by understanding Origin's competitive positioning, the unique value proposition of our bundled product offering, and how we can add the most value for our members.
• Support fellow PMs and help everyone on the team increase their impact at Origin.

So we expect you to have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a product manager in fintech and 4+ years of total work experience;
• Experience defining, measuring, and interpreting quantitative success criteria for what you and your team prioritize;
• Demonstrated strength in managing executive stakeholders;
• Demonstrated strength in being a bar raiser for your team and product area in terms of quality, process, and signal-to-noise ratio;
• Outstanding writing, verbal communication skills, and UX/UI sensibilities;
• Strong accountability, attention to detail, and an execution-oriented mindset;
• Technical fluency that enables you to explore possibilities creatively and challenge constraints with engineering, with demonstrated ability to earn the respect of talented engineers;

Nice to haves:

• Experience in the financial services/personal financial management industry;
• Experience with digitally-enabled investing/brokerage, trading, or tax products;
