About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application and cloud security, be capable of mentoring junior engineers, and have expertise in optimizing our platform's infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build scalable backend systems – Design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs and microservices powering our healthcare platform.

• Own features end-to-end – From system design and development to deployment, monitoring, and production reliability.

• Solve complex engineering challenges – Optimise databases, improve API performance, and build systems that handle scale efficiently.

• Drive engineering excellence – Write clean, testable code, contribute to architecture decisions, perform code reviews, and improve engineering practices.

• Innovate with AI – Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development, automate workflows, and improve engineering productivity.

Skills We are looking For:

• 3–5 years of backend development experience, building and maintaining scalable, production-grade applications.

• Strong programming skills – Proficiency in Golang, Python, Java, or Node.js, with solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

• Database & system design expertise – Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, database optimisation, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Engineering fundamentals – Strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous processing, message queues, unit testing, Git, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

• Ownership & problem-solving mindset – Ability to independently deliver complex features, debug production issues, collaborate across teams, and use AI coding tools effectively.
