About the Role:

You will be part of the Finance Controllership team, responsible for managing direct and indirect tax compliances, coordinating statutory, internal and tax audits, and performing General Ledger (GL) analysis to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. You will play a key role in strengthening controls, supporting tax assessments, and driving timely and accurate month-end and year-end closures.

Why join us?

● Market competitive salary with bi-annual increments.

● Great stock option policy with rights to exercise 10 years post exit.

● Well known for a collaborative culture with a top 10% rating on Glassdoor.

● Fastest-growing health tech company in India with marquee investors.

● Opportunity to build a product that will have a significant impact on people's health and well-being.

What You’ll Do?

● Own GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance end-to-end — not just filing returns, but understanding the story behind every number, and building real command over India's tax landscape from year one.

● Be the go-to person for statutory, internal, and tax audits — working directly with auditors, defending your numbers, and learning first-hand what “audit-ready” means in a fast-scaling business.

● Dive deep into the General Ledger to catch what others miss — reconciliations and analysis that sharpen your eye for detail and give you a real feel for how the business runs.

● Get hands-on exposure to tax assessments, notices, and litigation — a rare, early chance to work alongside consultants on live cases instead of textbook scenarios.

● Own the month-end and year-end close for your area, and watch your work flow directly into the company's financial statements.

● Spot gaps before they become problems — you'll have the room to question “how we've always done it” and the mandate to actually fix it.

● Partner closely with the AP, AR, and Payroll teams, building the cross-functional fluency most CAs only pick up years into their career.

● Track budget vs. actuals across departments and flag the variances that matter — a direct line of sight into how spending decisions actually play out, not just how they're recorded.

● Review monthly provisions against real business activity, adding a layer of financial discipline that keeps the numbers honest and audit-proof.

Skills Required for the role:

● Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) – Qualified.

● Qualification: 0-3 years of post-qualification experience in taxation, statutory compliance, audits, or GL accounting; experience in a startup or fast-paced environment preferred.

● Strong working knowledge of Direct and Indirect Tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and statutory compliance requirements.

● Hands-on experience in handling statutory, internal, and tax audits, including audit documentation and liaising with auditors.

● Skilled in using accounting and ERP systems such as Tally, Zoho Books, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or similar tools for GL analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.

● Strong command over Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis for accurate financial reporting.
