As a Director, RWE and AI Solutions Architect, you will utilize your network and background in real world evidence generation and prospective real-world study design and planning to create and maintain valuable business relationships with life science companies that would benefit from OM1’s unique capabilities. As a RWE and AI Solutions Architect you will focus on designing and managing the implementation of Research, AI, and other related technology solutions to meet specific business needs of the client. You will be a trusted advisor and/or valued partner with key client stakeholders. You will act as a bridge (both in terms of business development and consultancy) between the client’s business stakeholders and internal SMEs and technical teams, ensuring that the insights-driven research and technical solutions align with client and company business goals, the clients objectives and measures for success, the feasibility of success within the project constraints, and the effective delivery within client budgets and company margin targets.

What You'll Do at OM1

  • Understand Business Requirements: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their goals, objectives, challenges, and requirements. This involves translating business objectives into research and technical requirements in collaboration with SMEs and Technical experts.
  • Design Solutions: Recommend and solution comprehensive insights-driven research and technology solutions (in collaboration with the SMEs and technical teams) that address the identified business needs of the client. This includes appropriate data, research, technologies, system architecture, and providing input into the integration with existing systems.
  • Research & Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and feedback to SME and development teams during the implementation phase, ensuring the solution is built according to the architectural design and Customer objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex research and technical information to non-technical stakeholders and non-SMEs, C-Suite, and client SMEs, ensuring clarity and alignment on the project objectives and progress (in collaboration with internal SMEs and project management).
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to the proposed solution and work on mitigation strategies with the SMEs and technical teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of the solution, ensuring it meets the business needs, is scalable, reliable, and secure. Establish brand recognition; communicate with internal Project Managers to assess overall level of customer satisfaction and progress of projects.
  • Account Management, Growth, and Prospecting: Be responsible for the total account quota and direction of the account which includes new account logos, new business, white space expansion, renewals and repeat business based on the premise of aggressive prospecting with the purpose of new logo acquisition and account expansion within their assigned territory, while creating a satisfied and loyal customer. Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities. Plan and coordinate all product-related sales activities, including prospecting, lead development / follow-up, customer meetings, presentation, proposal and budget development. Continuously monitor status of leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained. Proactively pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards.
  • Proposal & Contract Management: Work with the proposal and budget development teams to present the appropriate solution for each project and continuously improve on our proposal and bid defense processes as well as our descriptions of services / delivery. Ensure appropriate proposal/delivery approach to best address the needs of each proposed opportunity. Monitor client response to proposals to improve future proposals. Handle follow-up related to the sale and drive completion of contractual documents.
  • Additional Activities: Maintain customer presentation templates to ensure they highlight the primary value of OM1’s approach and present the key messages, use cases, and operational plans customers expect. Utilize CRM to establish reports and dashboards to analyze business development and sales activities and track progress

What Experience You'll Bring

  • Proven track record of success selling complex pharmaceutical R&D products into and across key stakeholders at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
  • Excellent familiarity with the needs of medical affairs, R&D, commercial, safety, and pharmacovigilance teams within life sciences companies.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of real-world data and evidence, clinical development, outcomes research, market access and related disciplines, especially with respect to data and analytics.
  • Excellent skills using CRM platforms.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strategic business awareness and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines.
  • 5+ years of experience of direct, consultative sales in life sciences
  • Experience at a CRO or equivalent RWE company in selling prospective real-world studies or registries.
  • Experience with selling into medical affairs, commercial, safety, pharmacovigilance and R&D functions within life sciences
  • Experience with software sales is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Travel to meet with customers, attend conferences, or attend mandatory internal meetings.
