The Sr. Director of Commercial Training and Development is responsible for leading the creation and implementation of training programs designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the sales team in the healthcare, RWE, and RWD technology sector. This role will begin as an individual contributor with potential to build and lead a sales training team.
What You'll Do at OM1
- Strategic Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive training and development strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and sales, marketing, and operations goals, with a focus on healthcare technology, tech-enabled sales, DaaS, SaaS, RWE, and RWD products and services.
- Training Program Design & Execution: Design, develop, and deliver innovative and engaging training programs, workshops, and enablement tools tailored to the healthcare technology, RWE, and RWD sectors.
- Sales Performance Optimization: Evaluate sales, marketing, and ops team performance and develop targeted training interventions to address knowledge gaps and improve sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the training and development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, marketing, operations, technology, therapeutic leads, product teams, and external partners to ensure the training content is relevant, current, and aligned with market needs and organizational goals.
- Evaluation & Improvement: Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through quantitative and qualitative measures and refine them based on feedback and performance outcomes.
- Budget Management: Oversee the training and development budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and ROI on training initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge & Trends: Maintain a deep understanding of healthcare technology trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements to ensure training programs are relevant and up-to-date.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced learning technologies and platforms to facilitate training delivery and enhance learning experiences.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external training providers and vendors, ensuring quality and value for money.
What Experience You Will Bring
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the healthcare technology or medical device sector.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing successful training programs and enablement strategies.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of the healthcare technology industry.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in training and development or adult learning are preferred.
