The Project Director will oversee and manage the successful execution of various RWE/ASPEN studies and research projects. This leadership role requires a combination of strategic thinking, exceptional communication, team management, and project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to established quality standards. The Project Director collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to drive project success and contribute to the organization's overall goals.

What You Will Do

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, outlining project goals, scope, deliverables, timelines and resources required.
  • Build, lead, and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members, ensuring each team member understands their role and contribution to the project's success.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify project stakeholders, both internal and external, and establish effective communication channels.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular updates on project progress, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the implementation of project plans, ensuring tasks are executed according to schedule and within budget.
  • Monitor project milestones and track progress against the project plan, addressing deviations promptly.
  • Implement appropriate project management methodologies and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
  • Proactively address issues and roadblocks that could hinder project progress, making necessary adjustments to the project plan as needed.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and adhere to best practices.
  • Implement quality control processes to review and validate project work before final delivery.
  • Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and key metrics.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and other relevant records.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use lessons learned to enhance future project management practices and drive continuous improvement within the organization.

What Experience You Will Bring

  • Ability to communicate with both senior executives and technical teams; excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to complete complex tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Extremely organized, comfortable with complex and inter-dependent workstreams.
  • Ability to work well in cross functional teams, including engineering, product management and research.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Have a robust understanding of healthcare departmental/clinical operations, workflows, policies and procedures.
  • BA/BS required; MPH or related degree preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a healthcare and/or clinical research setting, including exposure to pharma services.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
