Role Overview:
In this role, you will have to act as a leader bridging the business team with investors and leading accountability towards goals. You will have responsibility for managing finance, budgeting & forecasting, compliances, and financial analysis & planning along with ensuring smooth day to day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
FP&A – Forecasting, Budgeting & Analysis
- Lead preparation of annual budgets, long-range plans, and rolling forecasts.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Build financial models to support scenario planning, cost optimization, and growth planning.
- Track KPIs across revenue, costs, margins, and cash flows to ensure alignment with business goals.
Reporting & Investor Support
- Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, dashboards, and board packs.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financials aligned with company objectives.
- Support audits, due diligence processes, and investor reporting requirements.
Operational Finance
- Oversee alignment between FP&A processes and accounting/book-closure cycles.
- Manage headcount planning, operating expense tracking, and consumption analysis.
- Report on budget vs. actuals with detailed commentary and recommended actions.
- Drive process improvements and automation to scale FP&A operations efficiently.
- Oversee collections management, ensuring timely follow-ups with clients and maintaining strong debtor relationships.
- Manage invoice raising, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements, ensuring smooth day-to-day finance operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree + CA is mandatory; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 4-6 years of experience in business finance teams, Preferably in B2B technology or services; AI or SaaS, Prior experience in early-stage startups is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Hands-on individual contributor
- Strong partnership and negotiation skillset proven in previous role
