Nova Credit is seeking a highly qualified Manager, Strategy & Analytics, to drive strategic planning initiatives and data-informed decision-making. This role will combine elements of strategic frameworks, business intelligence, and process improvement to drive organizational alignment, optimize business performance, and uncover growth opportunities.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Finance & Strategy. Candidates based out of the New York Metropolitan area are preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Strategic Planning
- Partnering with the Director of Finance & Strategy to drive strategic planning processes, including facilitating OKR development across departments, establishing measurement frameworks, and ensuring alignment of goals with the company vision
- Developing and maintaining the organization's goal-setting methodology, including creating standardized templates, tracking mechanisms, and regular review processes to drive accountability
- Leading end-to-end strategic analyses and business cases that combine market research, competitive intelligence, and internal data to identify growth opportunities and inform key business decisions
2. Business Analytics
- Designing and implementing automated reporting systems that enable teams to access reliable, up-to-date metrics and insights for decision-making
- Building and maintaining executive-level dashboards and presentations that effectively communicate business performance, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Revenue Operations teams to establish data collection frameworks, define key metrics, and ensure data quality and consistency across the organization

WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH YOU'LL

  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing reporting infrastructure, data sources, and strategic planning processes to identify immediate opportunities for improvement
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across departments to understand their current goals, metrics tracking needs, and pain points in data access
  • Shadow strategic planning sessions to understand the current approach and begin forming recommendations for enhancement

WITHIN THE FIRST QUARTER YOU'LL

  • Create your first automated dashboard to optimize internal reporting
  • Lead your first quarterly planning cycle, facilitating goal-setting sessions and ensuring alignment across departments
  • Identify and execute at least two major automation opportunities that improve efficiency in reporting and data sharing

WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR YOU'LL

  • Own and evolve the company's strategic planning process, implementing improvements based on learnings from multiple quarterly cycles
  • Build a comprehensive suite of automated dashboards and reports that serve as the single source of truth for company performance
  • Drive significant improvements in goal-setting and achievement rates through better tracking, visibility, and accountability mechanisms
  • Establish yourself as a trusted strategic advisor to the leadership team, regularly contributing to high-level business decisions
  • Create and implement a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of various strategic initiatives, enabling better resource allocation

REQUIRED SKILLSET

  • 4+ years of experience across relevant fields such as strategy consulting, business analytics, investment banking, private equity, or similar analytical roles
  • Excellent storyteller– demonstrated ability to distill complex technical and business concepts into compelling executive-level narratives
  • Advanced Excel/spreadsheet modeling capabilities for complex business analysis and/or proven track record of building and maintaining automated dashboards using tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLSET

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience designing/optimizing database structures for analytics purposes
  • MBA or other advanced degree in a quantitative field
  • Management consulting background
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience working with hybrid usage-based business models
  • Knowledge of the financial services/credit industry
