We embrace diversity, at NotCo everyone is welcome, here the only thing that matters is talent, potential and the motivation to want to generate high-impact changes: we are a group of unusual people, under a common goal.The Analytics & Instrumental Chemistry Team Leader will be form part of The Research Team of the R&D department of NotCo, reporting directly to Research Manager.The position will be covered for a person with background in Chemistry, analytics, structural and food analysis, and provide technical and managerial leadership to deliver results for NotCo purposes, including AI technology training, product development support, report generation, budget management, among others.

Responsabilities
  • Provide leadership of the Analytical & Instrumental chemistry team’s function including, data collection and uploading to our AI system, characterization of food products and ingredients, method development and validation, startup of new instruments, reproduction of validated protocols and coordinate routine testing
  • Monitor the pipeline of working of NotCo and ensure the obtention of reproducible and reliable results
  • Provide effective leadership of the team including staff selection, coordination of effective meetings, maintains the order and budget control of the unit and supporting to other Sr. Scientists and Manager
  • Possess strong communications skills to provide information between R&D and AI people
  • Create a year work plan and workflow, supervise the OKR advances and compliance, and prepare/supervise the talent development of their team
  • Provide correct implementation, calibration, and continuity of certain key analysis, including FTIR, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, routinary HPLC (target analysis), NMR, rheological analysis, among others
  • Possess strong background in high throughput analysis (metabolomic, proteomic and peptidomic approaches), and in the interpretation of results relatives to Food Development and Characterization

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor in chemistry; biochemistry; food chemistry, or other related
  • Ph.D degree in the same field, with demonstrable skills in analytics
  • Strong team leadership abilities
  • At least three years of experience in food industry/research with team managed by the candidate
  • Capacity to work with different professional backgrounds and cultures
  • Management of chromatography and NMR instruments
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis
  • the candidate must be available to travel

  • Spanish knowledge (oral skills) is desirable
  • Postdoc in the field of chemical analysis is desirable
  • AI/Machine learning skills are desirable
