About Nominal
Nominal is building the connected test and operations platform powering the world's most advanced hardware systems, from spacecraft and autonomous vehicles to next-generation defense programs. Our platform gives hardware engineering teams a single place to ingest data, analyze performance, automate test execution, and collaborate across every phase of development, so they can move faster without sacrificing safety or precision. We're a fast-moving team that owns problems end-to-end, works across disciplines, and thrives at the intersection of hardware and software.
We serve top-tier commercial and defense customers, from autonomy leaders like Anduril and Shield AI to next-generation aerospace teams like Hermeus and REGENT, and performance engineering teams like Pratt Miller Motorsports, alongside mission partners within the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force on programs where failure isn’t an option. We’re backed by Sequoia, General Catalyst, Founders Fund, Lux Capital, and Lightspeed. Our team draws from SpaceX, Palantir, Anduril, Applied Intuition, and other leading companies, united by a common mission: giving hardware engineers the tools to build the future with speed, safety, and confidence.
As a Field Marketing Manager at Nominal, you’ll own how we show up in the physical world: from industry conferences and trade shows to executive events and internal gatherings. You’ll be the operational backbone of our field marketing motion, ensuring every event is well-run, on-brand, and tied to concrete outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing, sales, and mission operations. You’ll manage logistics, vendors, and timelines with BD-ops rigor, while also supporting on-the-ground sales conversations and event preparation. It’s a highly visible role with real ownership, ideal for someone who thrives in execution-heavy environments and wants to build repeatable programs at a high-growth company.
You’ll work closely with Marketing, Sales, Mission Operations, and Leadership to turn events into a scalable growth lever as Nominal expands across aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial systems.
🚀 What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end planning and execution for Nominal’s field marketing programs, including conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, and internal events.
- Manage event logistics with precision: timelines, budgets, travel, shipping, booth assets, and on-site coordination.
- Lead vendor management across agencies, conference organizers, booth vendors, venues, and merchandise partners.
- Partner closely with Sales and BD to define event goals, support pipeline creation, and ensure strong on-site presence.
- Represent Nominal on the show floor: engaging prospects, qualifying interest, and supporting sales conversations.
- Prepare marketing assets for events, including booth messaging, signage, one-pagers, landing pages, invites, and follow-up materials.
- Build and maintain repeatable playbooks for Nominal’s most important industry events.
- Track event performance and synthesize learnings to continuously improve future programs.
🔍 We’re looking for someone with
- Hands-on experience owning field marketing or event programs end-to-end in a B2B environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills. You’re comfortable juggling timelines, vendors, and details.
- Proven experience with vendor management, including conferences, sponsorships, agencies, and event partners.
- Soft sales skills and comfort engaging prospects in person alongside sales teams.
- Solid marketing fundamentals, including event positioning, messaging, and campaign prep.
- A bias toward execution. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
🎯 Bonus Points
- Experience supporting field marketing at a technical or industrial company.
- Familiarity with CRM or event lead-capture workflows.
- Experience working closely with sales or mission operations teams.
