About Nirvana

Nirvana is on a mission to harness the power of data to revolutionize commercial insurance and enable a safer world. We are bringing much-needed innovation into the legacy, trillion-dollar commercial insurance industry. We have developed cutting-edge predictive models that use real-time IoT data from billions of connected devices, allowing us to better understand and price risk. Our AI-driven platform fundamentally changes the way an insurance company operates with personalized risk scoring, faster underwriting, modernized claims, and proactive, data-driven insights to help customers prevent accidents.

We’ve already proven the scale—serving thousands of fleets and more than doubling our written premiums year over year. Our data moat is growing exponentially with more than 30 billion miles of telematics data, leading to more predictive models and new insights into how we can better understand and reduce risk. Altogether, our loss ratio, efficiency, and customer experience are redefining what can be done in the industry.

With $270+ million raised, including our Series D round in December 2025, we’re only accelerating our growth, with strong support from top-tier VCs including Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor. Nirvana’s leadership team has previously helped scale multi-billion-dollar companies from scratch, including Samsara, Rubrik, and Flexport, and includes industry veterans from Hiscox, The Hartford, and RLI.

A New Business Line, Built From the Ground Up

This role is different by design. We’re launching a new, independent business unit focused on building an AI-powered platform that redefines how businesses operate. The goal: automate the operational workflows that slow motor carriers and brokers down, and replace them with real-time intelligence that helps teams run faster, safer, and smarter.

Why this role matters

This is a founding sales role with real ownership. As a Founding Account Executive, you’ll help define how a new business line goes to market—shaping our value proposition, refining our sales motion, and closing the first wave of customers who will define our growth. Your work will directly influence revenue, product direction, and how we tell our story to the market.

About the Role

You’ll join a small, high-velocity founding team and work onsite at our San Francisco headquarters. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through demo, close, and early customer feedback. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to sell, build, and learn quickly in an environment with high impact and high trust.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle, including outbound prospecting, discovery, product demos, negotiation, and close

  • Demo Nirvana’s software to prospective customers and clearly communicate the value of our AI-driven insurance platform

  • Close new business and consistently hit or exceed revenue targets

  • Partner closely with a SDR to strategize prospecting strategy and build pipeline effectively

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership to refine messaging, pricing, and positioning

  • Help build and iterate on our go-to-market strategy as we take new software products to market

  • Capture customer feedback and translate real-world objections into insights that shape product and sales strategy

  • Represent Nirvana with professionalism and curiosity as one of the first faces of our Sales organization

What You Bring

Must-Haves

  • 2–5 years of closing experience in a sales role, ideally in software or technology

  • Demonstrated track record of success against quota or measurable sales goals

  • Experience running product demos and managing a structured sales process

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly

  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment where you help define the playbook

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience selling into insurance, logistics, transportation, or adjacent industries

  • Exposure to early-stage or founding sales roles

  • Interest in data-driven products, AI, or infrastructure-heavy software

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary

  • Medical, dental & vision insurance

  • 401k with company match

  • Flexible PTO

  • Company-sponsored lunch 3x per week

  • Company offsite, happy hours, and team-building events
