We are currently seeking an experienced Verification & Validation Lead to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of the verification and validation (V&V) activities throughout the entire product lifecycle - from concept to certification and market release. You will define and drive the V&V strategy, ensuring that our medical devices meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all V&V activities across development phases, maintaining oversight of verification and validation workflows to ensure compliance and product readiness.
Plan, prioritize, and track V&V activities for products, ensuring alignment with project timelines and proactive management of dependencies to deliver on schedule.
Work with system verification engineers and design engineers to ensure comprehensive verification methods are established for all requirements and that testing strategies are efficient and effective.
Ensure audit-ready documentation is maintained to support internal and external audits, regulatory submissions, and notified body assessments.
Oversee system-level and end-to-end testing, including EMC, electrical safety, and certification activities with external partners
Identify and implement automation or infrastructure improvements to streamline testing workflows and enhance team productivity
Drive continuous improvement of V&V processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Proven experience leading system verification and test activities for complex embedded systems, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple verification workstreams and deliver on schedule.
Experience in regulated product development, preferably within medical devices or similar highly regulated industries. Understanding of the IEC 60601 series for electrical safety and certification is preferred.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize work, manage dependencies, and coordinate across teams.
Skilled in developing V&V strategies, ensuring full traceability, risk-based testing, and compliance documentation.
Hands-on experience with system-level testing, including EMC, safety.
Familiar with regulatory frameworks such as FDA, MDR, and ISO 14971.
Effective cross-functional communicator, able to work seamlessly with hardware, firmware, software, quality, regulatory, and project management teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
