About the role
We’re looking for a Senior System Verification Engineer (Embedded devices) to take ownership of system-level verification for our medical devices. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on ensuring end-to-end compliance, reliability, and performance across complex electro-mechanical systems that integrate optics, sensors, custom electronics, and embedded software.
You’ll work closely with Hardware, Firmware, Algo, Software, QA/RA, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure our devices meet functional, performance, and safety requirements.
Your work is key to ensure the quality of our systems and compliance with applicable regulatory standards
What you'll do
- Plan, define, and execute system-level verification covering the full scope of the device system requirements.
- Develop and maintain verification test plans, protocols, reports, and traceability matrices.
- Perform manual and automated system testing.
- Develop automation for system verification (test frameworks, scripting, data collection, regression verification...).
- Own test environments, including setup, calibration, and maintenance of rigs, tools and code.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and drive resolution of system-level issues alongside HW/FW/SW engineers.
- Ensure verification activities meet medical device regulatory standards (IEC 60601, ISO 14971, MDR, etc.).
- Contribute to continuous improvements in test methods, documentation, and verification strategy.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and service teams to ensure product quality throughout the device lifecycle.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware/system verification, ideally within medical devices, automotive, robotics, industrial automation, or other regulated hardware systems.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, electronics, sensors, and hardware-software integration.
- Hands-on experience with embedded device testing, such as functional testing, regression testing, environmental testing, EMC testing, electrical safety testing...
- Experience writing test scripts or automation (Python preferred).
- Comfortable debugging across hardware, firmware, and system integration boundaries.
- Experience working under regulated processes (IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, or similar).
- Clear communication, structured documentation habits, and a mindset focused on curiosity and innovation
Nice to have
- Experience with regulated industries (medical/automotive/robotics).
- Knowledge of IEC 62304, IEC 60601, ISO 14971 or similar standards.
- Experience with HIL rigs, custom test setups or automation infrastructure.
- Familiarity with sensor systems, imaging, motion systems or data-intensive architectures.
