Field Engineer

Join Neko Health as a Field Engineer and make a difference in the health-tech industry! We're looking for an imaginative and talented individual who is eager to help us develop and operate our secure, world-scale, and performant health data platform.

We are looking for a skilled Field Engineer to join our Site Operations Team in London. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing complicated technical equipment and interacting with non-technical users. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to our clinic staff, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that our clinic staff are satisfied with our products and services.

About Neko Health

Neko Health is a Swedish health-tech company co-founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek. Our vision is to create a healthcare system that can help people stay healthy through preventive measures and early detection. Neko has developed a new medical scanning technology concept to make it possible to do broad and non-invasive health data collection that is both convenient and affordable for the public. This requires completely reimagining the healthcare experience and incorporating the latest advances in sensors and AI. We are a remote first company, but the company is based in Stockholm and has over 50 employees across Europe.

About the role

You'll play a crucial role in shaping the future design and implementation of our backend and data model for our scanning technology and be a part of our diverse and distributed engineering team, which includes specialists in hardware, firmware, electrical engineering, algorithms, machine learning, optronics, frontend development, and more. Together, we're working towards our mission of building preventive healthcare.

In this role you will interact closely with our Engineering Team which is based in Stockholm, Berlin, Spain, and other locations within the EU. You will be expected to perform component replacements, device installation and calibrations, or pair with engineers remotely to perform on-site troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience servicing complicated technical equipment.
  • Experience using logs and metrics to troubleshoot and root cause issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
What we are looking for
Must haves:
  • Repair or replace equipment at our medical clinics.
  • Work together with the development team to root cause issues and propose improvements to the development team.
  • Troubleshoot on-site technical issues.
  • Interact with clinic personnel on-site during incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

While a perfect match between your skillset and our requirements is not essential, your willingness and ability to learn is paramount. We value individuals with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with our diverse and cross-functional teams.

If you meet these requirements and possess a genuine passion for tackling complex challenges, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
