WhiteHat was founded to address the lack of high-quality, career-focused apprenticeships on offer for ambitious young people and provide employers with the means to attract the best non-graduate talent. Though the number of apprentices continues to increase, less than 70% are actually completing their qualifications. We believe this is due to providers focusing on scale rather than quality and failing to refine their recruitment. As a result, they are not meeting the needs of either the apprentice or the employer. WhiteHat takes a pioneering approach, offering a high-quality experience for both parties and transforming the current dynamic in apprenticeships. We ensure that employers receive the right candidates for their business and that aspiring apprentices are matched with opportunities that play to their strengths. We specifically target students with good academic grades from a diverse range of backgrounds and use cutting-edge technology to reach and identify hidden talent. We help our candidates to build an interactive video profile and use gamification to build a unique personality profile for every potential apprentice. We pride ourselves on bringing innovative, thought-leading ideas to the forefront of the apprenticeship agenda. We’re currently receiving over 1,500 applications a week from young people looking for apprenticeships and are identifying increasingly effective ways to target key demographics for our employers, down to working with students from specific schools or identifying aspiring apprentices living in particular postcode areas.
