What we need:
As the Data & Insight (D&I) Lead for Ops & Efficiency data, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Operations, Finance, People & other relevant departments have access to and a solid understanding of the data sources, analyses/insights, analytics tooling & data assets they need to work on in a data-informed way. You will be the primary data partner to key stakeholders within this domain, driving/enabling data usage & understanding and commissioning relevant analyses & data asset development projects.
This role sits within our Data & Insight team and reports to our Director of Business Insight, but you will become increasingly embedded within your domain’s business departments and have close relationships with these departments’ leaders, as well as any analysts working within these teams. You will also work closely with relevant Tech team members.
What you’ll focus on:
Analyses & Insights
Designing, implementing, interpreting & sharing ops/efficiency-related analyses using D&I’s data assets
Defining and conducting experiments that test hypotheses and inform decisions
Being the org-wide subject matter expert for ops/efficiency-related data and owning the definitions for key metrics & indicators within this domain
Stakeholder Engagement
Being the trusted data partner and first-point of contact for Operations, Finance, People & other relevant leaders via expert steer, challenge & support
Gathering and translating stakeholders’ requirements into tangible data deliverables
Defining & agreeing minimum user acceptance requirements for relevant analyses and data assets
Establishing effective ways of working between the D&I and all analyst roles within our Operations, Finance, People & other relevant teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing
Creating clearer coordination mechanisms so all data work across your domain connects to shared priorities and contributes to a cohesive delivery of insights
Facilitating regular domain-level forums with relevant leaders & analysts to review, align, and prioritise data-related activity
Leadership & Coordination
Defining, developing & delivering our strategy & roadmap for ops/efficiency-related data
Triaging analyses across a cross-departmental pool of data analysts - inc personally conducting important/urgent analyses whenever appropriate
Scoping, planning and project managing the development of D&I-owned data assets that relate to ops/efficiency data
Continuously monitoring and reprioritising based on our Operations, Finance, People & other key teams’ evolving data needs
Providing guidance and oversight to ensure that all ops/efficiency-related data analyses and tooling developed are aligned, and consistent
What we’re looking for:
Required
6+ years of experience working within data-oriented roles - ideally within a fast-growing tech scale-up, management consultancy or other fast-moving environment
Excellent ability to communicate actionable insights that influence key stakeholders
Solid track record of producing scalable data assets with observable impacts
Demonstrable ability to read, interpret and write SQL
Hands-on experience working with Tableau or equivalent tooling
Ability to quickly build a strong understanding of complex business domains and translate this into data definitions, metrics, and insights
Experience balancing short term analyses with longer term data asset development
Demonstrated curiosity for - and successful adoption of - relevant AI tooling
Successful experience with ‘dotted line’ coordination of activity across cross-departmental networks
Tenacious and pragmatic approach to problem solving
Meticulous attention to detail
Right to work in the UK
Ability to work from the Multiverse London office 3+ days per week

Non-Required (But Desirable):
Working knowledge of and experience with Python for data analysis
Understanding of advanced data science concepts - e.g. statistical testing, machine learning
