Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.

We have partnered with 1,500+ companies in the US & UK to deliver a new kind of learning that's transforming today’s workforce.

Multiverse apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage and focus on building critical AI, data, and tech skills. Multiverse learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.

In June 2022, Multiverse announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes the company the UK’s first EdTech unicorn.

But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees globally, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output. Join Multiverse and power our mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.

We are on a mission to empower apprentices by creating a vibrant, engaging, and supportive community. As our Community Engagement Specialist, your role sits within Apprentice Enablement and you’ll be the driving force behind creating experiences that make our 11,000+ apprentices and our network of alumni feel seen, supported, and inspired.

This is not your typical community role. We’re looking for a strategic leader and self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, loves to work across multiple teams across the company and approach and work with external industry experts, and isn’t afraid to take bold bets. You’ll set the strategy for community engagement at scale, shape a powerful events programme, and be the face of the community - all while helping us raise the bar on what’s possible for a digital-first, career-focused learning experience.

What You'll Do:

Oversee & Implement Strategy

  • Develop and lead the overall strategy for community engagement, aligning programming with learner needs, client priorities, and the Multiverse brand.

  • Identify opportunities to evolve our events - from traditional extra-curriculum lectures to interactive workshops, career accelerators, technical deep-dives, and in-person experiences - and bring those ideas to life.

  • Design and scale our group mentoring programmes, ensuring high quality, impactful experiences for both mentors and mentees.

  • Engage and re-engage Multiverse alumni through targeted storytelling or opportunities to contribute to the wider community.

  • Manage and continuously improve the Community Hub as our digital home for learners — ensuring it remains accessible, engaging, and aligned to strategic priorities.

  • Own and maintain policies that support a safe, inclusive, and respectful community environment, including safeguarding protocols and moderation guidelines

Own & Elevate Community Programming

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate a high-impact calendar of (predominantly virtual) community events that support apprentice growth across every stage of their apprentice journey with Multiverse.

  • Manage the end-to-end event experience of our community events schedule: content planning, scheduling, promoting, marketing, moderation, feedback, and performance reporting.

  • Ensure all events meet a high standard of quality, relevance, and innovation and meet the relevant performance targets of bookings, attendance and session feedback.

  • Oversee the management and day-to-day operations of the Community Hub, ensuring it remains a vibrant, supportive, and well-moderated space for all learners.

Engage Experts & Build Influence

  • Identify, invite, and collaborate with world-class speakers, mentors, and industry leaders from the tech, digital, and data sectors.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with guest experts, ensuring high-value content and repeat engagement.

  • Negotiate and manage the annual speaker budget, ensuring high-quality, diverse programming while delivering strong value and impact.

Lead with Data

  • Monitor and analyse event attendance, engagement and satisfaction data to assess performance and drive improvements.

  • Use insights to test new approaches and iterate quickly, supporting the growth and retention of our apprentice community.

Coach & Collaborate

  • Line manage and mentor our Community Engagement Associate, helping them grow and succeed in their role.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across marketing, delivery, learning, tech and product to ensure aligned messaging and streamlined operations.

About You

  • You’re a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment - You take initiative to move ideas forward, using sound judgment and referring to clear goals or priorities, while checking in when needed.

  • You bring 4 years+ experience in event strategy, programming, and community engagement, ideally in a tech, education, or professional development.

  • You understand what excites learners in data, tech, and digital - and you know how to connect with the right experts to deliver that excitement.

  • You’re confident leading events from start to finish and are comfortable hosting and moderating live, large-scale sessions.

  • You’re a data-driven decision-maker - you don’t just report numbers, you uncover stories and drive action.

  • You’ve got strong project and people management skills, ideally including previous line management experience.

  • You’re an excellent communicator, capable of engaging everyone from apprentices to C-suite leaders.

  • You’re passionate about building belonging, learning, and growth at scale and champion inclusion and equity across community experiences.

  • You're tech-savvy, with strong skills and experience using tools like Teams, Vimeo, Canva and Hivebrite - and be confident learning new platforms as required.

  • Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 7 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days and 8 bank holidays per year
