By centralising data assets, implementing robust security frameworks, and removing data silos, the architect ensures the organisation has a single, reliable source of truth to support advanced analytics and AI initiative
  • Expertise in Microsoft Fabric (OneLake) and Databricks (Unity Catalog) architecture
  • Experience building scalable lakehouse and warehouse solutions (Databricks SQL, Fabric SQL)
  • Strong data pipeline development using Databricks Workflows, DLT, and Fabric Data Factory
  • Knowledge of Delta Lake and cross-platform data strategies to reduce duplication
  • Data governance expertise, including Unity Catalog, RLS, and data lineage
  • Experience managing compute across Fabric and Databricks environments
  • CI/CD knowledge using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Databricks Asset Bundles
  • Proficiency in PySpark, Databricks SQL, T-SQL, and Delta Lake internals
  • Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data modelling (Star Schema, Data Vault 2.0)
  • Experience optimising Databricks performance and integrating with Power BI (Direct Lake)
• Design global architectural blueprints combining Microsoft Fabric OneLake and Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Build optimised Lakehouse and warehouse structures using Databricks SQL and Fabric SQL endpoints.
• Establish data pipelines using Databricks Workflows, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and Fabric Data Factory.
• Formulate cross-platform data strategies utilising shared Delta Lake formats to eliminate data duplication.
• Implement unified data governance, access controls, and Row-Level Security (RLS) via Unity Catalog.
• Direct multi-engine computation strategies using Fabric capacities alongside Databricks clusters.
• Define CI/CD deployment frameworks across both platforms using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
