Start Date - Monday 19th January 2026

Working Hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9-5, 1 weekend day every 12 weeks.

⭐ Our Fraud Prevent team

Our Mission in the Financial Crime & Fraud Collective is to earn and keep our customers’ trust, support Monzo’s safe growth, and contribute to building a safer society. Our Fraud Team Managers are crucial to the success of this mission.

The Fraud Team Manager role is responsible for managing the performance, development, engagement and wellbeing of their team. They also support overall domain success through peer support and hiring contributions.

Fraud Team Managers work within one of three core pillars in the Fraud domain (Prevent, Protect or Pursue) and will manage a team of Investigators.

🔑 You’ll play a key role by…

Fraud Team Managers work within a mixture of regulated and unregulated deadlines. Their role oversees the daily activities of their team to align with our business objectives.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Analysing, understanding and regularly reporting on performance and absence data
  • Taking proactive action to manage and support their team’s performance; including delivering timely feedback, providing learning and coaching support and implementing formal performance management processes where necessary
  • Taking proactive action to manage and support their team’s wellbeing and absence levels; including facilitating robust return to work and wellbeing conversations, working with the People team and senior leaders to make adjustments to expectations where necessary, and implementing formal absence management processes where appropriate
  • Actively working to keep their team engaged with both the work in front of them, and the wider business mission and goals by helping them connect their contributions to the wider business’ success
  • Using feedback gathered quarterly via our internal Peakon survey to inform and build action plans to support their team’s engagement
  • Supporting their team in developing themselves through their career journeys through effective personal development plans
  • Providing engaging socials and maintaining an active and vibrant team channel, including regular recognition, to help their team feel valued
  • Cascading essential information and process changes to their team and supporting them appropriately through the relevant change curve
  • Taking proactive action to address conduct concerns within their team; including facilitating robust and effective investigation, disciplinary and other ER processes, where necessary, in line with our policies
  • Accurately and meticulously maintaining necessary documentation
  • Supporting with hiring across the domain

🤩 Your day-to-day:

  • Managing the personal & professional development of approximately 12 Fraud Investigators
  • Fostering an empathetic, high-performance culture in the team
  • Providing technical coaching, feedback, and advice relating to fraud tasks
  • Analysing and driving improvement in team performance, and reporting relevant insights
  • Reporting team performance as part of a weekly check in with operations managers
  • Taking ownership of your teams training and ensuring they are up to date with all necessary learning modules
  • Supporting the monitoring and maintenance of service level adherence by feeding back to Workforce Management when needed
  • Aggregating feedback from the team, and ensuring it’s passed on to inform business change.
  • Communicating and embedding change within the team
  • Contributing to a strong control environment by minimising breaches and risk events
  • Reviewing complaints and quality assurance failures attributed to the team and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Completing QC checks for the team and providing feedback based on these checks
  • Conducting job interviews for Fraud Investigators and contributing to hiring decisions
  • Chairing employee relations cases and making decisions consistent with Monzo’s values
