Overview

We’re seeking a highly motivated firmware engineer to lead our team of expanding embedded systems. You’ll stay hands-on while pushing the technical ambition, pace, and effectiveness of the team around you. We’re looking for someone with a demonstrated ability to grow quickly, take on increasingly difficult problems, and turn ambiguity into shipped products. You’ll own products and their solutions from beginning to end, ensuring that everything we ship stands the test of time.

What You Will Do

- Take on the hardest and most ambiguous firmware problems, identify risks and opportunities early, and drive them through successful shipment.

- Design and develop low-level firmware and application-level software for microcontrollers (MCU), focusing on reusable device drivers and system integration.

- Push the boundaries of what the firmware team can accomplish by raising the engineers around you and introducing better approaches, tools, abstractions, and ways of working.

- Drive MCU and inform part selection, review electrical designs and bring them up.

Required Qualifications

- BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience.

- 5+ years of end-to-end embedded firmware development across multiple products, technologies, and MCU platforms.

- Strong C or C++ experience applied to bare-metal and RTOS embedded systems.

- Strong experience integrating and debugging hardware peripherals, sensors, and interfaces such as USB, BLE, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet.

- Strong board bring-up and hardware debugging skills using tools such as JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with nascent product development, test, and maintenance for the consumer electronic industry.

- Experience with audio and video codecs, and adjacent technologies.

- Experience working within an FPGA softcore or interactively FPGA through a peripheral bus interface
